Our Agency

Géorgie Gagné (Communities & Solidarity) creates initiatives, transformative conversations, and supports community-building that enable intentionality, care, and dignity. We work with clients in community, advocacy, health, arts, education spaces, and more.

Our work centers the vision and the wisdom of 2SLGBTQIA+, Black, Indigenous, people of the Global Majority, and disabled communities, empowering them to create radical, sustainable, and Indigenized futures.

Approaches and Lens

To work with intentionality and care, it’s crucial to anchor our work in approaches that honour the realities and needs of the communities we serve.

Frameworks that acknowledge the existence of oppressive systems such as white supremacy, racism, classism, and ableism, and that aims to identify and eliminate the ways in which they control and influence our society.
A concept rooted in the American Afro-feminist movements that unequivocally acknowledges that our identities simultaneously shape our interactions with systems of power and systems of oppression. It also helps us recognize that social issues are interconnected and must be addressed collectively, rather than in isolation.
A framework that emphasizes the collective responsibility towards problematic dynamics in our society, and that requires the involvement of the entire community—rather than just the individuals “directly” involved—to bring about lasting and systemic change.
We recognize the importance of centering the lived experiences and knowledge of the communities impacted by the content developed in each project. We strive to de-hierarchize academic knowledge in order to refocus on the uniqueness of each community and make room for nuance.

To meet the specific needs of our diverse clients, our agency collaborates with specialists in research, education, advocacy, and other fields from across Turtle Island. As a result, the consultants working at our agency vary from project to project.

Géorgie Gagné

Founder and Principal Consultant

Géorgie Gagné, founder of Géorgie Gagné (communities & solidarity), is an artist, educator, author, and activist with Cree and Franco-Quebecois heritage who is dedicated to integrating intersectional approaches, Indigenous perspectives, intentionality, and care within the communities of Turtle Island.

After studying communications, she quickly became involved in nonprofit organizations to connect with her communities and share her knowledge. Over the years, she has worked with youth in outdoor programs, newcomers, the Francophone minority, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, BIPGM communities, and people with diverse abilities. Her work and dedication to societal change have been recognized by several organizations, including the FCFA, the Fondation Franco-Ontarienne, The Bloom, and FrancoQueer.

Through advocacy, community development, content creation, and research, Géorgie aims to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and decolonize organizational practices in order to transform our relationship to differences and discomfort.
